"Master of esoteric synth experimentation, beloved Dungeon Synth and Neofolk artist 'Poppet' was kind enough to let me print two of their albums onto one cassette collection. I wanted this for myself, but I knew this would be the perfect first tape for the Astral Observatory collection.

'Dungeon Dub' sees Poppet begin experimenting with Rasta inspired motifs to really play around with what Dungeon Synth can be; this earnest exploration pays off in the suitably epic sequel, 'The 12 Imperial Sciences', a further dive into Poppet's solo journey into music and culture.

To their continuing credit, Poppet also gave us access to two previously unreleased songs (on Side A), to play in between the two experiences. 'I - Tempsychosis' - a track originally recorded during the 'Dungeon Dub' sessions, and 'Womb of Rebirth', an 8 minute black metal synth journey." - Toad the Druid
